direction of the Engineering Systems Manager, this position is
responsible for the oversight of the facilities maintenance and
building services, including all maintenance and upkeep of
facilities within the Irvine campus. This position is also
responsible for facilities related contract services, and
environmental compliance support related to AQMD permitting
management, air emission, waste stream, reclamation, back flow
preventers /PRV/ASME code vessels, etc.-- Additional
responsibilities include oversight of facilities related contractor
training (levels 1 - 3), logistical support for office/people moves
and is responsible for approximately 2 exempt and 20-30 nonexempt
employees covering multiple facility areas. This position has
responsibility and accountability to keep the facility and
equipment in the assigned area operating in an effective and
compliant manner.Responsibilities: Essential DutiesSupervises
assigned staff in the maintenance of buildings and
grounds.Schedules maintenance and monitors the operation of all
utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air
conditioning.Supervises janitorial services and grounds maintenance
such as landscaping, lawn care and snow removal.Will become the
subject matter expert at higher levels of job.Leads and directs the
work of other employees.Responsible for department safety and
training.At higher job level supervises junior supervisors.Will
have input for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance
and disciplinary actions.The job function listed is not exhaustive

Supervisor from time to time.--Expertise: Knowledge &
SkillsRequires full working knowledge of relevant business
practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard
theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a

department or a function with 1 or 2 sections. Ensures budgets,
schedules, and performance requirements are met.Judgement is

required or equivalent combination of education and experience,
