others.Position Summary:Responsible for informing strategic
direction for Crinetics' current and future early R&D portfolio
in partnership with program leads and Global Product Leads (GPLs).
This includes utilizing data and market knowledge to identify and
initiate optimal approaches to both current product value and
future areas of opportunity. Lead internal New Product Planning
(NPP) function and manage external agencies to ensure stakeholder
alignment. Also, a key contributor to analyses and strategic
insights to inform the clinical and commercial development of
pipeline products, as well as collaboratively building sound
commercial assessments of potential new assets for the
organization.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the New Product Planning function within the
Corporate Strategy group, comprised of two (2) direct reports that
are responsible for early R&D market insights along with
competitive intelligence for the entire portfolio.
- This team and role lead market opportunity efforts around the
early R&D portfolio programs by planning and overseeing
actionable analyses, integrating findings across multiple
studies/analyses, and communicating results persuasively to senior
leadership to drive action and impact.
- Acts on behalf of early R&D commercial analytics, insights,
and competitive intelligence team (NPP function) as the core
strategic partner and advisor to cross-functional stakeholders at
senior levels. Serves as strong ambassador of the team to build
relationships and trust with stakeholders to deeply understand
needs, execute and guide our team's work to meet needs, and
synthesize and present findings persuasively.
- Suggests and oversees needs for relevant data through primary
market research, secondary analytics and competitive intelligence
to build a cohesive point of view, and clearly articulates
implications to leadership.
- Analyzes and summarizes data, both independently and through
collaboration with other analytics and insights team members, into
insights and recommendations that are presented to cross-functional
teams and senior leadership.
- Leads peers and junior team members with and without formal
authority, will be responsible for motivating team members to
execute ad hoc analyses and data to quickly answer questions and
drive insight for program stakeholders.
- For assigned area or project(s), independently develops the
market opportunity analytics plan, manages related projects, and
collects and manages the data in support of the overall plan, or
collaborate with key business partners to develop short- and
long-range forecasts, integrating emerging market dynamics and
competitive assessments.
- Synthesizes complex information from multiple sources (primary
market research, secondary analytics, competitive intelligence),
identifies opportunities, and develops conclusions and
recommendations that can be used by portfolio leadership to make
better business decisions, better understand patient segments,
competitive threats, and to identify opportunities and potential
risks. Leverages primary research data and secondary data sources
to inform evidenced-based forecasting models.
- Develop analysis of target markets to determine current and
future treatment paradigms, competitive landscape, unmet need,
product positioning and value proposition, making commercial
judgements around implications.
- Drive development of and maintenance of strategic target
product profiles (TPPs) for early R&D pipeline assets in
conjunction with program teams.
- Other duties as required.Education and Experience:Required:
- BS/BA degree and 15 years of work experience including a
combination of secondary analytics, primary market research, and/or
competitive intelligence experience within the
biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry OR
- Masters/PhD and 12+ years of similar experience noted above
OR
- Working experience with biopharmaceutical market data (meaning
of data, limitations of data, ability to manipulate, etc.)
including IQVIA/Symphony/Komodo anonymized patient-level data,
detailing, shipment, and other related datasets.
- Business knowledge of pharmaceutical sales, marketing and
access/reimbursement with the ability to identify market drivers,
trends, issues, etc.
- Working knowledge of the various methodologies of collecting
and analyzing secondary data, primary market research, and
competitive intelligence.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written); proven
ability to work cross-functionally and liaise across stakeholders
with a variety of non-technical backgrounds.Preferred:
- MBA and/or strategic consulting experience a plus.Physical
Demands and Work Environment:Physical Activities: On a continuous
basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer
telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through
written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be
required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low
to moderate. The physical demands described above are

may be required to travel for up to 5% of your time.The Anticipated
Base Salary Range: $203,000-$254,000In addition to your base pay,
our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target
bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. We also provide

to include medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance, 20
days of PTO, 10 paid holidays, and a winter company shutdown.The
final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on
several factors that may include but are not limited to the type
and length of experience and education. Crinetics Pharmaceuticals
