We are seeking a talented and experienced Director of BAW/SAW Filter New Product Introduction to lead our global team. This position will set the tone for technical direction in conjunction with business leaders and other divisional engineering leaders to ensure commercial success. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and delivering high-performance filters and testing solutions to meet the demanding requirements of next-generation wireless communication systems and IoT devices.Job DescriptionSkyworks is seeking an NPI Director to lead and improve the NPI Organization within the BAW Filter New Product / New Technology Group. As a highly skilled and strategic leader, you will play a pivotal role in successfully launching new products meeting Performance, Quality, and Time-to-Market. Having an affinity with innovative solutions which can be applied throughout development to high-volume manufacturing, you will ensure seamless coordination across various departments in a multicultural environment with teams like R&D Engineers, Device, Process experts, Module Design teams, Program Management, and Operations.The NPI Director will drive the overall NPI Setup and Best Practices. You will be based in Irvine, California and manage teams in Japan and Singapore.The job will involve the following functions:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive NPI strategy aligned with the company's goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to all design and technology rules, define technology choice, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for new product launch.
• Lead end-to-end readiness ensuring a smooth transition from product development to production release, coordinating activities across Design, Process, Test, Operations, and Module teams to meet Quality, Performance, and Schedule.
• Work with design engineering and assist in the transition of design prototypes into cost-efficient and high-volume manufacturable products.
• Lead and coordinate the Product Readiness: Capability, Tolerance Chain Analysis between Process and Product, Reliability at the different stages of the technology development to achieve Cpk and yield targets during NPI and Ramp-Up phase.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in the NPI process and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate and openly debate with the team to manage projects, solve problems, discuss challenging issues, and learn more about critical issues as a group.
• Implement or improve solutions to minimize disruptions in the NPI workflow.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement in your organization, NPI process, and associated departments through feedback loops to capture lessons learned from each NPI cycle.
• Report and maintain knowledge on product status to executive leadership by preparing appropriate reports.Qualifications
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, RF Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in New Product Introduction / Product Engineering / Design.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills and used to working in a multi-cultural environment.
• Strong understanding of Product Development, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management.
• Experience in the design or product engineering of SAW/BAW filters is required.
• Knowledge in Project Management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, both technical and interpersonal.
• Pragmatic and flexible attitude with a result- and data-driven can-do mentality.
