Description:Reporting to the CSS Business Leader for the Transcend
Program, the CSS Director, Digital Strategy & Deployment is
responsible for the development, evaluation, and execution of the
strategic direction for CSS digital strategy by leading and
delivering digital transformation for the Cardiovascular and
Specialty Solutions Supply Chain. This role will drive the
ideation, development, and execution of our digital vision.This
leader will partner with E2E platform teams to prioritize
initiatives and deliver purposeful innovation insights and business
analytics tools, techniques, and process automation. This role will
play a significant influencing role across the organization and
will work closely with several Johnson & Johnson MedTech teams in
digital, data science & IT.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop CSS SC
Digital Strategy & Manage Digital Portfolio:
- Development, evaluation, and execution of the CSS digital
strategy
- Capture all data needs across E2E Supply Chain, in partnership
with E2E Functions including JJSC, Commercial, R&D, Information
Technology, External Manufacturers
- Lead business SMEs, analyze the end-to-end value chain,
identify digital business improvement and external customer
opportunities, break-down into manageable components that can be
solved by employing digital capabilities including visualization
and analytics.
- Develop business cases rationalizing business need to invest
with strong quantitative and qualitative benefits
- Lead and represent CSS on the Digital Council to shape needed
capabilities to drive the digital supply chain strategy; oversee
the ecosystem of technologies to enable our digital supply chain;
connect digital projects across the CSS Supply Chain and JJSC
organization; share & leverage best practice digital strategies
with other segments
- Develop and maintain relationships with strategic industry
associations and thought leaders; benchmark current capability and
identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with external partners as identified to supplement
business needs for reporting development and executionDeliver
Digital Capabilities:
- Create and mature advanced data analytics and AI
(fit-for-purpose) capabilities for E2E Supply Chain in partnership
with Information Technology and Global/Regional functions
- Develop and implement new innovative insights and business
analytics tools to signal detect opportunities and performance
- Implement process automation across functions to improve
employee productivity, service, and operations
- Collaborate with manufacturing plant leadership and drive the
acceleration Industry 4.0 business cases through delivery to
automate and improve processes using technology
- Lead projects to eliminate bottlenecks, and de-risk current
process and coordinate all relevant Supply Chain data related
functions
- Identify insights and work with stakeholders to achieve
business improvements.
- Drive improvement in data-driven decision making including but
not limited to aligning data and data systems to meet the needs of
the CSS Supply Chain end-to-end focus
- Diagnose data requirements and roadmap prior to digital project
launch, ensuring correct processes are put in place to improve and
maintain, including the identification of business owners for data
domains for long-term sustainability
- Outline process for ad-hoc data extraction from source systems
if not in data warehouse
- Assess technologies for application such as blockchain
- Serve as a global expert on maximizing business value through
data and process automation
- Leverage Advanced Analytics and collaborate with Planning
function to optimize processes in Planning such as: demand
forecasting, NPD launch curves, SLOB reductionMeasure success
through value realization on all CSS SC digital initiatives in
partnership with project leads.Enhance CSS Customer Experience
- Engage Commercial leadership within each franchise to
understand customer needs
- Develop and execute SC customer engagement process, in
partnership with platform Product management team and commercial
partners
- Translate customer needs (i.e., hospitals, ambulatory surgery
centers) into SC solutions, and incorporate into project business
case and portfolio prioritization.Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience required
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree required; Bachelor of Science
degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Information
Technology, Data Science or related field highly preferred;
Advanced degree such as a Master's degree is preferred
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to lead a
cross-functional global teams required
- Demonstrated expertise in programming, statistical and
simulation modeling, operations research, data science, and
engineering tools
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain and data sources available
with a proven track record of developing and successfully
implementing data strategy and using multiple data sources for
achieving business objectives is required.
- Ability to develop individuals within an organization
required
- Advanced knowledge of end-to-end product supply and
distribution required, strong understanding of core systems
preferred, i.e., ERP, MES, APS
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in bridging technical and
business disciplines, evaluating, and determining appropriate risks
required
- Project management experience required
- Lean manufacturing and six-sigma methodology experience
preferred
- Product cost management and budget management preferred
- Up to 20% of travel both domestically and internationally is
required
- Flexible hours to accommodate multiple time zones when
necessaryThe anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$146,000 - $251,850Additional Description for Pay Transparency:The
Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based
compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is
eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the
terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a
cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual
targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's
performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded
at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees
and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the
following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical,
dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability,
business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees
may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated
retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position
is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive
program. Employees are eligible for the following time off
benefits: Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year Sick time -
up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the
State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year Holiday pay,
including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
