Your Role on the Team

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Development, the Development Assistant is responsible for a variety of administrative duties in support of UC Irvine Law initiatives with a portfolio that includes general office management, financial administration and gift processing. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, attention to detail and an ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously. In addition, they will consistently exercise a high degree of initiative, confidentiality, independence, good judgement and problem solving.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as an extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve defined goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multitask and time management skills.
  • Easily manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to learn financial processing system and remain up-to-date on all policies and procedures.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams).
  • Drivers License
  • 1-3 years office administrative experience.Preferred:
    • Familiarity with Salesforce or other donor CRM platforms.
